Student Calendar AI ("SCAI", "we", "our", or "us") provides tools that help users turn course information into structured calendar events. This Privacy Policy explains what information SCAI processes and how that information is used.
1. Information We Process
Account information. When you create or use an account, we may process information such as your email address, account identifier, authentication provider, and basic profile information provided through Google or another supported sign-in method.
Course information. When you upload a syllabus or paste course information, SCAI processes that content in order to identify dates, deadlines, exams, assignments, labs, and related academic events.
Usage and credit information. We maintain information such as the number of syllabus imports used, remaining credits, and purchased credits so that we can operate usage limits and paid features.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. SCAI may receive information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, amount, currency, and purchased credit quantity. SCAI does not receive or store your full payment card number.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve SCAI.
This includes authenticating accounts, extracting academic events from course information, generating calendar-ready event data, managing import credits, processing purchases, preventing abuse, and troubleshooting technical problems.
3. Google User Data and Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. SCAI requests Google Calendar permission only when you choose to connect the feature.
SCAI currently requests the Google Calendar events permission so that it can create calendar events when you explicitly choose to add extracted academic events to Google Calendar.
SCAI does not use Google Calendar data for advertising, personalized advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, or sale to third parties.
The current SCAI Google Calendar integration is designed to create events in your calendar at your request. SCAI does not use your existing calendar content for unrelated purposes.
In the current implementation, the Google provider access token used for Calendar access is held in the browser session and sent to the SCAI server when you request a Calendar action. It is not stored as part of your SCAI profile database.
SCAI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You may revoke SCAI's Google account access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

SCAI uses artificial intelligence services to analyze course information and extract potential calendar events.
Course text submitted for AI extraction may be transmitted to AI service providers, including OpenAI, for the purpose of performing the requested extraction.
Users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive or confidential personal information in syllabus or pasted-text inputs.
5. Service Providers
SCAI relies on third-party infrastructure and service providers to operate the service. These may include Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payment processing, OpenAI for AI processing, and Google for authentication and Calendar functionality.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Account, usage, and payment record information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide SCAI, maintain account balances, prevent duplicate transactions, comply with applicable obligations, and resolve disputes.
SCAI does not intentionally store uploaded syllabus PDF files in its account database after the extraction request has been processed.
7. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information or Google user data. Information may be shared with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate SCAI, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with your direction or consent.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed by SCAI. However, no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices
You can choose not to connect Google Calendar and may continue using supported SCAI features without Calendar integration.
You may revoke Google access through your Google Account permissions.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account-related information, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SCAI changes. If we make material changes to how Google user data or other personal information is used, we will update this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
